I have some time to get some real sleep before work. \u00a0Luckily it never seems to rain here.<\/p>\n
It was then that I remembered I’d made that meal-replacement serum yesterday. \u00a0Time to see if it works.<\/p>\n Had a great chat with Meagan, another scientist here at FutureSim Labs, and started to feel like I could get through the day. <\/a>A beautiful morning, which I nearly slept through completely. \u00a0I got up just in time to head back to the lab.<\/p>\nUgh. \u00a0It’s going to be a rough day. \u00a0I didn’t get a lot of sleep, nor did I have time to grab a bite on the way to work. \u00a0I’m grateful that I don’t have to sleep at the spa any longer, but I’m going to need some time to adjust, I think. In the meantime, I’m starving.<\/p>\n<\/p>\nCrap. \u00a0That’s going to require some more experimenting.<\/p>\nI made another one, and while I had a further breakthrough while doing so, failed to make a viable serum.\u00a0I’ll just grab a sandwich and coffee again.<\/p>\n<\/p>\nCaitlyn told a few jokes near the end of the shift, but Meagan wasn’t impressed.<\/p>\nI spent the last hour of my shift collecting rocks. \u00a0It seemed like an important thing to do. \u00a0But I’m starving again.<\/p>\nAnother shift ended, and I return home. \u00a0I want to head into town again to visit the library, but I’m really going to have to eat something first.<\/p>\nI *did* make another sample of that meal-replacement drink, this time with basil and daisies. \u00a0Maybe this one will work better than the last.<\/p>\nDammit.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/a>That’s when she hit me with some weird mind voodoo, and let me know that she’s actually an alien. \u00a0An alien! \u00a0Her disguise was amazing. We talked for almost two hours after that, and I think we’re going to be pretty good friends.<\/p>\n
